The El Canyamel Golf Club is located in the east of
the island of Mallorca, in the resort of Canyamel in the district
of Capdepera. 70km from the city of Palma, and 64km from its airport.
The location of El Canyamel Golf Club offers numerous alternatives
and activities for your free time. From a visit to the famous Arta
caves, just 3km away. Or enjoy the nearby beaches, in golfing language
it could be said they are “just a drive away”.
Canyamel is one of the most beautiful corners of the island. The golf
course has magnificent views over the sea and from some of the holes
you can see the island of Menorca. Enjoy incomparable peace and tranquillity
as there are no buildings adjoining the course, nor facilities which
could make noise or disturb those playing on the course. Among the
sports which are also available are horse riding, sailing, fishing,
and surfing. It is also possible to go on wonderful excursions to
the caves of Drach in Porto Cristo, Formentor, Sa Calobra.
The marvellous 18-hole golf course, of international standard, was
designed by José Gancedo, with some modifications, designed
and directed by the PGA, having been introduced. The round is ideal
both for beginners and for experienced players, with more than 3000
hours of sun per year, El Canyamel Golf Club has become the favourite
place for those who come to this island to play golf. Thanks to its
geographic location, it is just as pleasant to play in summer as it
is in winter. Its first 9 holes are very different, the 9th standing
out for its spectacular nature, and the greens of the 2nd, 4th and
5th for their difficulty. This means that they must be played with
great precision. Of the second 9 holes, the 13th stands out for being
difficult as do the greens of the 12th, 14th and 18th where it can
be difficult to hole the ball. Without doubt, the most important aspect
of El Canyamel Golf is the high quality of its greens and the good
condition of all the holes.

The social club has lounges, a shop, a
cafeteria, a restaurant area and a terrace overlooking the 18th hole,
exceptional not only for its location but also for the panoramic views
it offers.
There is a great driving range between the 1st and 9th holes. This
means that the player may practice before starting his round of golf
and be called to the 1st tee 5 minutes before the his tee off. There
are carts, clubs for rent, trolleys etc.
A few kilometres from the golf course there are various 4- and 5-star
hotels among which, standing out for their quality and service, are
the EUROTEL (4-star), MALLORCA PALACE (5-star), SERRANO (5-star),
BELLA PLAYA (4-star) and L’ILLOT PARK. All of them are 10 minutes
from the golf course and are located overlooking the sea and where
the client can enjoy the crystalline waters of the sea, swimming pools
and the usual facilities to be found at luxurious hotels.
